@CatterWilliam Hi, it's a bit hard to say exactly, I could release something right now, but it would not be fun to play. I'm currently aiming for a first alpha release at the end of this month, with 1 "in-game year" of content (1788~1789)
@killermartian34 Hi, definetly, the first alpha release got delayed as I'm currently trying to find a new job. But hey, at least I have now plenty of time to work on the project I will post an update here about the release an what it will contains really soon (maybe for the screenshot saturday)
Have I just waited almost 2 months since the last tweet ? Time flies ... So, just to be very quick, a lot of things happened, a lot of work has been done, but the website is not ready yet so I can't show you anything 🤔
To get things moving faster, I decided to create an itch.io page instead of a whole website, and I'm working on it right now I'm gonna post the url here really really soon !

@thatfvcko Ha yes no worries, in this screenshot, Queensland was indeed the selected province, it was just not highlighted correctly The green province represent a province controlled by a country I have to make the highlighting of a selected province better
Currently working on the colonization feature First, an army will have to explore the province (it can take months). Then, player will have to send populations in order to colonize the province (more people sent = higher colonization success rate)
@MPforKerbin Hi, sorry for the delay, there is no website yet, I plan to create a very simple, single page website for the the first version of the game (So in 3 to 4 weeks I guess) (And maybe a discord at the same time too, in order to better retrieve Reviews/Bugs/Ideas)
@_________l___l_ Depending on player choices, indigenous populations become part of the "regular population", or stay "aside" (By creating "Indian reserves" for example) Each choice will have its own advantages/disadvantages
Currently polishing UI for a first release. I still have to create a small tutorial, add some quests/events, polish everything ... and release the first Beta version ! It should be available around January, I'm gonna talk more about it really soon !
I am currently working on the battles Each square is a battalion (~100 mens), with specific composition, walking speed, firing range, accuracy ... etc Everything is automated, actions are defined by the battle "commander" capabilities (and his tactics affinities) #gamedev
There will also be some "Scripted" events, at least for the first versions of the game. When more content/events will be available, these kind of scripted events may disappear. #gamedev

@StevenW_GTUK Absolutely not :) In order to build the UI, I'm using ..... HTML+CSS, I'm not even kidding, this is honestly a very good way of building interfaces.
