Hard work and a compassionate heart have paid off for #UPSer Shameka Leach. She's headed to Las Vegas for the big game this weekend! 🏈 Shameka started her UPS career 24 years ago, and she's been making a difference in her community ever since. Shameka found a niche in football-related volunteer opportunities through her late aunt. Since then, she’s spread her efforts across causes including the Chicago Bears’ charities, the Pro Football Retired Players Association in Chicago, youth football camps, Special Olympics, adopt-a-family programs and more. “It’s because of UPS that I volunteer,” Shameka said. “UPS explained to me why they do what they do with volunteering. And when you learn the why and how, that’s how you start living your life.” Her volunteer efforts are being rewarded with a VIP trip to Las Vegas as the Chicago Bears Fan of the Year. The award recognizes a passionate fan from each National Football League Team who inspires others and demonstrates the uniting power of football in their communities. 📢 While you're rooting for your team this Sunday, let's all give a big "hooray!" to Shameka for her well-deserved recognition.
