@FootballLoungee @USMNT_Thoughts @USLChampionship USL can't afford a protracted legal battle. Eleven would have to go it alone, funded by ownership. And if they HAD real funding, the stadium deal would have closed by now.
@USMNT_Thoughts Indy Star reported there never was an agreement in place, that it was just negotiations.
@USMNT_Thoughts Nope, city choosing a bigger fish to partner with. Unless the contract was signed and executed it’s a classic don’t consider a deal done until it’s signed
@USMNT_Thoughts Real predatory behavior by MLS. Let USL take all the risk to prove soccer is viable in a city, then have some billionaire steal the market.
@USMNT_Thoughts Internal pro/rel has to happen if they keep expanding. But I also feel like they are going to these cities eventually to snuff out USL
@USMNT_Thoughts They're investing hundreds of millions into these mkts, they're offering major financial incentives to independent MLS Next Pro clubs, and they're fully funding academies while USL continues to be pay to play, but they're doing all this at the expense of USL.
@USMNT_Thoughts If that is the goal I can get behind that but it's a money grab right now and I can't support it and don't spend a dime on it right now. USL is much more attractive to me and my family and we spend our money there.

@USMNT_Thoughts I don't think they care. MLS has pretty clearly taken the gloves off when it comes to USL. MLS Next Pro US Open Cup St. Louis, San Diego, & now potentially Indy USL certainly isn't w/o faults either, but, yeah, MLS seems to putting them in a join us or die situation.
