Dogs don't have a vote, they also don't have money to pay off those who come after them. If they had either they wouldn't be at risk, rabies or no rabies. They are therefore an easy target. BTW: A dog with rabies usually dies within a week or two. They are themselves also…

Do you know what happened in IIT Madras? They rounded up all stray dogs on campus and put them in "shelters". Within a few months, almost all the dogs died. The few who survived were rushed to vets. They arrived as skin & bones. Many did not survive despite care.

So if you think putting dogs in shelters with food & water is humane, think again. Many dogs stop eating, many die out of fear, many get aggressive due to fear. Strays need to be vaccinated regularly, spayed/neutered scientifically. Garbage has to be handled well.

Stray dogs on the streets. Humans go where they want, do what they want & cry victim when nature retaliates. Same is the case of elephant/tiger attacks in the hills. Are we going to put wildlife in "shelters"? To be human is to be compassionate.

This order is a death sentence for dogs. Nothing humane about it. So spare me the proselytizing.

The easiest thing to do is to kill strays... The difficult things to do is to stop farmers from burning their crop stubbles... Creating a population that has road sense... Or holding your corporators responsible for bad roads... Well dogs can be killed easily!
