@Umartheone2 Of course the issue with this assumption is the South managed to successful keep a reign of terror against African Americans whilst also having the full force of the Union army on them during reconstruction; the CSA could reform enough to avoid revolt but keep oppression.
@Umartheone2 The only analysis I could see relies on a lot of ifs. Assumptions that independent CSA sees immediately sees a successful slave revolt and therefore a much more progressive South because there isn’t a neutral ish union to tacitly accept segregation.
