This afternoon's discussions are about recent VAT cases and automating VAT with large accounting systems.
This morn is all about VAT for retailers including the new business promotions notice from HMRC and adjustments to the Bespoke Retail Scheme
In particular that rather impermanent sounding "informal extra-statutory concession" for nursing agencies.
Today is all about the VAT exemption for supplies of nursing staff and welfare services.
@LindaSOC_VAT (When I worked at HMRC my then wife spearheaded the use of the off-white recycled paper that's now used by the whole dept.)

I refuse to use posh white envelopes for my letters to HMRC given the cheap flimsy brown things they use for their letters to me.
What is it with France & it's odd VAT rates? 19.6% currently & going up to 21.2% in October. And don't get me started on it's reduced rates.

Archiving 3 years of notifications and receipts on the Irish Revenue website. It's a tedious process of opening each one then archiving 10.
Word of the morning this morning is "infraction", the process by which the EU gives the uk a rap on the knuckles for getting out of step.
