I was working outside when I got this notification and wow. My heart. 💔😭 The thing is, I saw him struggling for the last few months, I just didn't know the exact reason why. And the worst part was that as a fan, I didn't know how to help him besides to keep showing up and giving encouragement when he would post and trying to make the TL a better place for him to come back to. I truly thought the hate was getting to him, and that they were working on different things and that maybe it was becoming too much to handle but that he just needed a break. And now that I DO know the reasons behind it, it hurts WORSE, because he was hiding so much pain on his own and we couldn't be there to help him. I cannot imagine what he is going through, what they are both going through, having to navigate this very real grief in the public eye in front of not just friends and family, but fans too. Having so many eyes on you while you're going through this kind of hurt has to be SO FUCKING HARD. Because this decision wasn't an easy one. The emotion and love they've shown for each other and what they said in their statements and how they've been dealing with it makes it very obvious that whatever bond between them was REAL, because it wouldn't be hurting them this much if it wasn't. And while this split was probably needed in order to grow into who they are meant to be professionally and maybe even personally, it doesn't mean it hurts any less or that they aren't going to need time to heal and get through it. And that healing will look different for them both, so I hope people give them both grace and space and understanding as they work through this. And I have so much love and respect for Joong for addressing us in his BC today. Because I think he did so out of kindness. He saw us struggling and hurting, much like he has been, and wanted to tell us that he doesn't want us to hurt for too long. He wants us to take care of ourselves and find happiness in our lives and do new things and discover love and joy out in the world because he can't be our happiness when he is trying to LEARN TO BE HAPPY AGAIN. Because it WILL be a learning curve. Moving into a new future without someone you've had by your side for the last five years will be difficult. But he's doing his best and finding ways to smile again and find himself again and he's sharing his vulnerability and pain with us because he doesn't want us all to hurt like this forever. And I don't know what the future holds for them, but I hope it holds amazing things and great opportunities, and I am also hopeful that the bond they share will lead them back to place where they can be there for each other in the ways they want and need. And I will be here supporting and rooting them on.

"he doesn't care" ??? like have you even seen him?? he himself has said multiple times that he has to pretend he's okay when deep down he's not, who knows how many smiles he's faked and even while faking it you could literally see in every event what he was going through, don't come now just because one is showing it and the other is staying quiet to say those shitty things, everyone deals with it how they can and if he wants to stay quiet right now then let him, but that doesn't mean he doesn't care

the only “statement” i’ll make, since a few people have asked, is this: this account has always been for Joong. i’ve supported all of his endeavors, and along the way, i came to care very deeply for Dunk, too. i still love and support Dunk, and that hasn’t changed. i’ll always wish him happiness and success in everything he does, but this account will continue to be focused on Joong, as it always has been. and for anyone wondering, i personally am not going anywhere. my love and support for Joong remain unchanged. 🤍

I'll sit in this restaurant order the past to reminsence and looking forward to see the future of such wonderful human beings walking through this door!

i need everybody to understand that joong post isn't related to anybody. stop making weird scenarios in your head for a second. he must be feeling bad for things we don't even imagine and he don't talk about, and that's okay. being alive is already hard, we as humans have problems, insecurities, fears and we get hurt and we hurt too. his message was so needed because we sometimes lose our ways and others we get stuck in things instead keep going to heal. being sad isnt bad but its unfortunately part of life and absolutely nobody is happy all the time. no idols, no fans. nobody. let's not press ourselves in life, let's not focus on smal sht and let's start living, get that ticket, but those shoes, give more hugs, go to your favorite restaurant and do your absolutely best because sometimes in life that's all we can do.
