As Coach Saban would say: “DO YOU PRAY TO BE BLESSED, OR DO YOU PRAY TO BE A BLESSING?” ⚡️

“Sin” is usually thought of as violating some command, but sometimes it is a sin to do nothing. James explained, “Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin” 4:17. God not only expects us not to violate His laws, He also expects us to be people who do good. “So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith” Galatians 6:10. Not only should we be law abiding, but we should also actively be doing good.

When Achan was confronted about his sin of taking goods from Jericho he said, “When I saw among the spoil a beautiful mantle from Shinar and two hundred shekels of silver and a bar of gold fifty shekels in weight, then I coveted them and took them and behold they are concealed in the earth inside my tent with the silver underneath it” (Joshua 7:21). Notice his steps into sin: (1) I saw, (2) I coveted, (3) I took, (4) I concealed. Those are the steps into any sin. May we learn to guard our eyes, and our desires, so that we will not take what does not belong to us. The last step into sin is that we try to hide it. Beware!

@jimiuorio Boomers weren't fatigued with DEI.

Babies and Sin Unfortunately, many denominations teach that babies are sinners and will be sent to hell if they are not baptized. The truth is babies cannot sin because babies cannot lust. Sin comes when one lusts for something God has forbidden. James tells us that one sins when his lust moves him or her to action. James explains “Each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust” 1:14. Your baby cannot be carried away into sin because he/she cannot lust. Therefore, your baby does not need to be baptized.

@BrentAWilliams2 Yes we have a female raised by boomer problem and a mortgage rate problem.

@MarioNawfal Massie voted against the BBB because it was a horrible bill. It's the main reason inflation under Trump is already higher than it was during Biden's last two years, and why the inflation during the next two years inflation will higher than any year under Biden.

Elon Musk just threw out IQ scores, degrees, and fancy vocabulary in one sentence. His definition of intelligence is brutal and simple: how accurately can you predict what happens next? Not how fast you read. Not how many books you’ve finished. Not how well you debate. Just — were you right about the future? Think about it. A chess grandmaster sees 20 moves ahead. A great investor sees where markets go before they get there. A great engineer sees failure points before they fail. They’re not “smart” because of how they performed in school. They’re smart because reality keeps confirming their predictions. And the same applies to AI. Elon doesn’t care how fluently a model writes or how impressive it sounds. He wants to know: does it get the future right? By that metric, most of what we call intelligence is just confidence wearing a costume. x.com/ElonClipsX/sta…

Mortgage lenders will lose far more during the developing mortgage crisis than they did during all of the GFC. From 2007–2010, realized losses on defaulted mortgages totaled about $450 billion. There is currently about $8.3 trillion in outstanding fixed-rate mortgages with an average rate of 4.6% and 25 years left to maturity. Given that current rates are 7.5%, the mark-to-market losses on those mortgages are already about $2 trillion. When rates rise to 8.5%, the loss will rise to $3 trillion! That means even without a single default, on paper mortgage lenders have already lost over four times more than they lost during the GFC. That loss will grow to nearly seven times as much when mortgage rates hit 8.5%. Worse, during the GFC, since mortgage rates plunged, lenders had mark-to-market gains on all the outstanding mortgages that did not default. Since only 10% of the mortgages defaulted, those unrealized gains totaled about $1.75 trillion. That provided a huge cushion that today's mortgage lenders no longer have. In fact, when mark-to-market gains were taken into account, mortgage lenders actually made $1.3 trillion during the GFC. The current situation is therefore orders of magnitude worse. The impending disaster was created by the Federal Reserve holding interest rates so low for so long, and the FHA and GSEs guaranteeing 30-year fixed-rate mortgages, which allowed borrowers to lock in such low rates for such long durations. That sowed the seeds for the perfect storm of financial destruction that is about to hit.

Maybe we should start a competitor to Amazon 🤔

amazon is blocking grok @Bots from ordering, and elon's answer is just have your bot buy it somewhere else. one of my grok bots only handles my amazon returns, so i'm watching this one closely. would you switch stores for your bot? 🛒 Elon, i think its time for an X Shop? 👀
