25 years ago today, the world watched in horror as the course of history changed. On 11 September 2001, nearly 3000 people lost their lives in the terrorist attacks in the United States. Behind that number were families, friends and communities whose lives would never be the same. In response to the attacks, NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in its history — affirming that an attack against one Ally is an attack against all. European Allies answered the call and served shoulder to shoulder with their US Allies. So did Estonia. A quarter of a century later, the transatlantic bond remains at the heart of NATO. It has made both sides of the Atlantic safer and stronger and our commitment to stand together remains unwavering. Today, we remember those who lost their lives, those who ran towards danger to help others, and all those whose lives were changed forever. #WeAreNATO

Every year I say I'm going to start off a new academic year as a respectable middle class person, where I go and buy my textbooks, working only part time to pay bills. Then I see the $60 price tag on seven required books. Sailed the high seas this long, so why not another year?
Russia can't just be defeated in the same sense that we've previously applied during the Cold War. We can't just cow them back, hoping that they learned their lesson this time. They need to learn that they are not allowed to bully themselves into power again.
