I often hope papers not only have submission/acceptance dates, but also starting dates of the project. Sometimes when reading, I knew one sentence=years of work and I think they deserve proper respect. Sometimes I just want some comfort, not thinking my own progress is too slow.

Labour should NOT have a 63% majority in Parliament when they got just 34% of votes. It was wrong when FPTP helped the Tories. It's wrong now. People voting tactically gave Labour its majority. Labour OWES them, to change the system so they never have to vote tactically again!

Works out at roughly 600 voters per English, Welsh and Scottish constituency turned away because of ID problems. Might not sound like much until you factor in that there were 20 MPs elected with majorities of under 500. The VoterID Law is not fit for purpose.

This was the first GE conducted under Voter ID. I don't know if that had any impact on low turnout, but we should want to find out. There should be a thorough investigation into its working at this election. That might reassure critics like me - or show the need for change.
