Which orange is the best? 🤔

In 1988 Dolly Parton pulled every 7th and 8th grader in Sevier County into a room and told them to pick a buddy. She made them sign a contract.. if BOTH graduate, she hands you both $500. One fails, nobody gets paid. The county dropout rate went from 35% to 6%. She handed out the checks herself. In 1989 she offered $500 to every kid in the county who wanted to go to the local college. When Gatlinburg burned in 2016, she sent 900 families $1,000 a month for six months. You've probably heard that part. Here's the part you haven't: The fund raised more than expected, so she showed up in May and handed every one of those families another $5,000 on top. Then she quietly put $3 million into the recovery group that handles the years after the news trucks leave. She built her county an entire hospital. She played a benefit concert in 2007, Dollywood and the Stampede matched it, and LeConte Medical Center opened in 2010 with a birthing unit and a women's center in it. In 2022 she started covering 100% of tuition, books, and fees for Dollywood employees. Full-time, part-time, AND seasonal. In 1991 she paid for a bald eagle sanctuary because the birds couldn't be released back into the wild, no press release. And when Hurricane Helene came through here in Western North Carolina, she wrote a personal check for $1 million and her companies matched it. She didn't owe North Carolina anything, but she helped us anyway. She started the Imagination Library because her daddy couldn't read or write. Before he passed, he told her it was the most important thing she ever did. Rest in Peace, Dolly 🇺🇸

Dolly Parton on supporting the LGBTQ+ community (2016): “I do not believe we should criticize and judge other people. If you’re the fine Christian you think you are, why are you judging people? I just think we should be more loving, more caring. We are who we are. If you’re gay,

Rick Barnes on Ethan Burg: "I’ll tell you a great story with Ethan. He was really struggling, and I actually asked him one day, I said, are you about ready to quit? Because he was down, about as low as you could be. He said to me, Coach, I will never, ever quit on these guys. He said, this is the first real team I’ve ever been a part of. He says if I never play another minute, I will never quit on these guys. I promise you. He said I love them. There’s a brotherhood with us. I would never quit on them. And he hasn’t. The last couple games, we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him. He has maturity, and he went through a tough time. You’ve got to realize, his family has been in and out of bunkers in Tel Aviv for months now. It’s been tough on him, but he’s handled it really, really well. That was one of the greatest things that any player’s ever said to me. He said, I would never quit on these guys. And he wasn’t playing. He just kept grinding and good things happen to people that do that.”

Nate Ament: "It's one of the reasons I chose Tennessee because of Coach Barnes and his faith. ... as a team, you're trying to glorify something bigger than yourself. And, ultimately, something that is Jesus Christ and is God can only lead to good things. When you're playing for something other than your own glory and the glory of others, the glory of your teammates, the glory of Christ, only good things can happen from there if you're being selfless and trying to take care of each other."

Same Team. New Chapter. Next Titan Up!

I will not sit idly as they use me as a prop in a closed-door kangaroo court by a Republican Party running scared. If they want answers, let’s stop the games & do this the right way: in a public hearing, where the American people can see for themselves what this is really about.

Three-time Trump voter: I’m a registered Republican. I voted for Trump, but I really want to apologize. I'm looking at this awful picture of the Obamas. What an embarrassment to our country. All this man does is tell lies. He is not worthy of the presidency. He takes bribes blatantly, and now he's being a racist blatantly…He's pathetic as a president, and I just want to apologize to everybody in the country for supporting this rotten, rotten man.
