@dark1x I think a lot of people aren't too bothered by softness/aliasing/etc. if the art is good and the frame rate is solid.

@dark1x It's also just interesting to see what bothers whom. When the pixel remasters came out, I was flabbergasted that some people didn't even notice the judder. Deal breaker for me. For FF7R, I see the fuzziness but it doesn't bother me that much, and I'll take it for the 60fps.

@Stupacabra What service are you watching it on? Some have not-original-but-not-that-bad transfers where it's the original transfer and seasons 1-3 are still 4:3. In the US, Disney Plus and Hulu are the better versions. Not sure about UK though.

@GapFreezer @nikki_m_vee At least in the US, the Disney Plus version seems to be the same as the Hulu one and it isn't this HD remaster. Seasons 1-3 are SD and 4:3. Later seasons are 16:9 though so not original. Maybe they're the UK DVD versions? Either way, not nearly as bad.

@_Yeee5 @TychoBrahe One caveat though is that it's hard to photograph a CRT screen, so comparing raw video with a photo makes for an odd comparison and the one on the right would look better in person. That said, there's still merit to the raw pixel look.

The Postman Syndrome's reunion show was a year ago. Total banger. Would love to do again. May not, but who knows.... youtu.be/0u4mIq_8HD4

@Stupacabra Wait sorry it's called Undone. I confused it with the name of a very good band.

@Stupacabra I don't know if this counts as a cartoon, but Unwound is fantastic, short, and ends with finality

@Stupacabra Also maybe Infinity Train? Each of the 4 seasons.has a tidy ending. It's cancelled now and sure there's plenty of world lore they left open ended. But that's not a bad thing.
