I live in Victoria, British Columbia, where Justin Trudeau is also the Prime Minister. We have provincial rent control. My monthly rent has increased a grand total of $30 in three years. So just maybe it isn't a "Trudeau Thing"...
@VoyceReason I’m sure the owner’s expenses continue to increase. So essentially the owner, not Justin Trudeau, is subsidizing you. That will reach a point of unprofitability. What happens then?
@VoyceReason Not every housing rental in BC is covered under the Tenancy Act or has rent control…there are many exceptions…
Yes we are suffering from DOUG FORD @fordnatrion here in ON for complete LACK of rent controls. The ON housing tribunal is a joke. It got backed up two years because of covid so landlords just started doing whatever they wanted to harass tenants to move out so they could double the rent. Lack of rental housing, increased immigration and a massive campaign of recruiting international students for the past eight years with the colleges and universities not building residences to provide for these student populations.
@VoyceReason Justin promised affordable housing for Canada But we don’t have affordable housing That’s why people are disappointed with Justin
@VoyceReason 'I live in Victoria, BC, where Justin Trudeau is also the Prime Minister. We have provincial rent control. My monthly rent has increased a grand total of $30 in three years. So just maybe it isn't a "Trudeau Thing"...' And THERE you have it. Slam. Dunk. #NeverPoilievre
@VoyceReason 🤔 What was the rent of the units in 2013? In 2017? So your rent has gone up $30.00 since 2020? So this year it’s 3.5 % rent increase for B.C. I’m thinking you live in a luxurious shoe box 😂😂😂😂 Or Government housing ?
@VoyceReason Correct. Our Provincial premier is Doug Ford. He removed Rent control. PP loves to blame PMJT for EVERYTHING.
@VoyceReason @SK8Wireless Many of the voters who went out in support of Drug Lord in Ontario are some of the same people that didn’t know what rent control was and don’t realize it was their new buck-a-beer Premier that took it away.
