Federal government and Ontario announce $15-billion Honda EV deal Might be the stupidest use of tax payer money….ever… theglobeandmail.com/business/artic…
@WBrettWilson So $15 billion for 1000 jobs, wow just like giving away our money so how long will that take to get our $15 billion back?
@WBrettWilson Brett , you say a waste of taxpayer money ?? Trudeau says “Hold my beer”
@WBrettWilson I thought free tampons for men might top the list.
Respectfully. Hope we can together keep an open mind and maybe we research about this area more in time, about the idea of bringing Japanese companies like Honda more into Canada. Canada spends hundreds of billions now, with the same due diligence approach as planning a family vacation to Mexico. So, while spending $15 billion, or any amount in the billions might immediately set off alarm bells for any business person, consider this: the idea of Japanese-style manufacturing in Canada is still meeting the 21st century requirements far better than borrowing vast hundreds of billions with no tangible outcomes, as federal government now likes to do, on things that are not involving any energy and material changes or technology changes or housing changes or medical changes or technology changes, to the reality we live in. We need to urgently shift government focus towards boosting commodities wealth generation, advanced energy systems developments, technology deployment of AI, and very key is the factory production as factory production is what is missing in Canada to provide the goods needed; such as housing, bullets etc. This shift to a manufacturing-driven capability, a factory capability, is crucial for sustainability and meeting higher supply needs that so many people in Canada need. With factory shortages, might have big inflation everywhere. Factories might be Canada's best bet for organizing a highly productive economy, when it seems to struggle to generate productivity in office.
@WBrettWilson Poor Brett - he believes all funds for innovation should go directly to Alberta's oil sands and his dirty wells....
@WBrettWilson You clean up those abandoned oil wells yet, Brett? Oh right ...let the taxpayers pay for that right?
@WBrettWilson how much did the govt give GM and Chrysler bail out, which they never paid back.
@WBrettWilson Almost like funding to clean up abandoned oil wells
@WBrettWilson better evs than your oil well clean ups
