UAE wasn't spared by luck, it had a $2B+ layered defense system and chose not to retaliate. Saudi's current strikes are a separate war, the Houthis attacked the Saudi-backed government on 3 Sept, Saudi hit back in October, and that's when the airport strikes started. But the real question is why Iran is burning resources hitting UAE specifically instead of Israel. A Quds Force defector, Sheikh Jaber Rajabi, poisoned and imprisoned three times for what he's exposed, says Iran was paid by unnamed countries, entities, and companies to target the UAE specifically, and the Arab Gulf in general. The ones funding this want to gut the economy of any rival Middle East power so they can dominate the region themselves, economically and as the new business hub. Even Iran's own military leadership reportedly questioned why they were bombing UAE instead of Israel and got a financial answer, not a strategic one. In my view, the Houthis are being used the same way, to pressure Saudi into the Abraham Accords. I don't need a receipt for that. These operations are never going to hand you one.
