lol - you all keep thinking that. Do you all not follow hockey. He is a bottom six forward on a good team. Sanheim is at best a second pair D-man maybe third on a good team. That is the problem - the Flyers overpay their players because they can’t get good players to come here via free agency. That Dvorak contract is ridiculous.
Agreed, extremely lazy - Berube won a Stanley Cup. This is a Comcast issue and a culture issue from above about apathy and not giving a damn about an organization that Ed Snider built. This is also an NHL issue where a bad team can make the playoffs with little to no talent - with OT points. The only way to build is through the draft and drafting high. They need to bottom out and do a complete rebuild the right way.
@FlyersNation Easy gig - doesn’t have to worry about a poorly constructed team any longer or try and recruit players who would never want to come here.
@icehockeymike37 lol - maybe because he isn’t very good. Flyers fans and Flyers management like to overvalue their players. The guy might be out of the league soon - he is NOT good enough to make 80% of the rosters in the league.
Maybe the culture issue is with Comcast. That is the constant - no accountability from those idiots. They have no clue and don’t care about the Flyers. That is the issue- until Comcast sells the team the Flyers will be meaningless and a laughing stock. They are the ones with no plan.
@bsbr666 This is exactly right - Comcast doesn’t care about winning. Their main goal is to have people in the stands. Hence you have crap ideas like Gritty. Team needs to do a full rebuild the right way. NHL encourages this mediocrity by allowing bad teams to get garbage OT points.
This is NOT a coaching issue - this is a lack of talent and organizational issue. The NHL is structured in a way that allows bad teams to make the playoffs. The only way to build in the NHL is through the draft and optimally have high draft picks. Flyers should have bottomed out for four years. They are stuck in an endless loop.
@PhilsTailgate Yes - everyone is blaming the manager for the past two years. This lineup of players can’t get hits with runners in scoring position and the base running is horrendous.
