Too long, but I just heard on a podcast I should focus on the end words of the sentence. Great advice, but it will work better with short sentences.

Hey writers... Do you typically write long sentences or short sentences? #amwriting #writerslife #WritingCommunity

Marketing is a lot more work than writing. But now that I have decided to have four books ready by Christmas I have to do both in parallel. And start now. Well, maybe if I think about it as an opportunity?

So I did finish the book and then I got stuck on the formating. But then I read through it and I figured it would work better as a lead magnet. So now I have to write another...

So I finalized the edits on the revised first book in the series, and I realized that while I am sure about the second one, I am not sure about the third. Although I think I have come up with a way to sell more books, but it includes creating customized editions. Lots of them.

I have said it before and I will say it again: Editing is so much more fun than marketing. Advertisements are easy to automate which is a big argument in their favor, but how can I find something free that is equally easy to automate?

Realized I had lost my way when writing. Now I know what to do. Unfortunately, it means splitting one book into three....

I need to do something so people remember my name when they need information about #Tokyo (since I am writing guide books). But what?

I do not want to market my books! Why can people not just find them and buy them?

This has not been a good weekend for writing or marketing, unless I was collecting material for off the beaten tracks trips. But I was supposed to figure out the marketing of my current book. Maybe having publishing houses who did the marketing for you was not such a bad idea.

Marketing is a chore compared to writing, especially if you do not want to pay anything except your time. But without marketing, no sales.

Of course I got pushback from the admins of the groups. Only one accepted it. The rest were feeling it may be too spammy. So I am rethinking how I should reach out when the book is published. I need to get my name and the name of the book out to potential readers.

Spent the morning in editing away leftover formatting and fixing punctuation errors. That is the problem when you have an almost finished book laying about, it is so hard not to poke at it. Just a little. Like a pimple waiting to burst or mosquito bite you simply have to scratch.

Now working on the marketing. I think I have figured out to use it to get feedback on the book. Before it is published. Will let you know if it works.

Yes, and a blog on it too. I realized long time ago it is the best way to draw readers while I am writing. wisterianwatertree.com

And suddenly, I am done! Now I just need to polish a few URI and then I want someone to read the book before I publish. Anyone willing to betaread a Tokyo guide for parents with kids in strollers?

Three #chapters left to #edit. I will make a series of #customersurveys to both get input on the content and get some attention. And I need to get my #booksales page ready.

Now #Halloween is over and #Christmas decorations are up. #Tokyo is celebrating with gusto. But it is not a #holiday in #Japan, so #tourists have it easy. wisterianwatertree.com/safe-travel-wi…

I am officially #HalfWayThere editing! Now 7 chapters done, 6 left. After that I have to figure out the formating and then a short soak, and then a second edit. And then I will consider it done! Maybe even before #Christmas. #Tokyo #travelguide #stroller

Oh no, another day without writing. And editing. I need to get back to that, after all I decided to take a second pass through the book when I am done with the first.
