Fully agree with this I think a section of our fans have been blinded by the success we’ve had with our recruitment recently and now there’s an expectation that signings will be automatically brilliant With young lads moving to new countries, that’s almost never gonna be the case

Away from everything, what’s the obsession with expecting signings to just instantly be class. We’re barely into a new season where lads are moving to new leagues and speaking new languages, meeting new teammates, learning new systems etc Players take time and players take

Surely it has to be a mix. I think load management is a key piece of the puzzle and I’d start Danso given that he’s suspended for Leeds. Would rest Xhaka and play Ahoka, Methalie and Fofana have to come in too. Wouldn’t be shocked to see Tutierov up to again #SAFC

Obviously emotions are high after 2 dismal displays, but I’m not sure I fully agree with this. Brentford, Arsenal and City were 3 solid performances and warranted more than the 1 point we took. Absolutely need to raise the standards next week though! #SAFC

Nordi Mukiele didn't hold back in his review of Sunderland's season so far after today's defeat against Bournemouth 😬

Second best in every department today. Yeah, sure, the injuries made team selection difficult But the individual performances, especially at CB, were nothing short of embarrassing. Ball retention and chance creation have suddenly become huge problems #SAFC

As bad an opening 25 minutes as you’re ever likely to see from us. Danso absolutely honking, and Alderete not far behind. Look absolutely toothless going forward as well. Looking to be a very easy afternoon for Bournemouth this #SAFC #SUNBOR

No Brobbey in the squad is a massive blow. Tutierov looked decent on Thursday but this is a huge step-up in level for him. I’d imagine we’ll see Diarra on for Hume after an hour, regardless of how the game’s going. #SAFC

@JamesCopley_ I think the drawbacks of RLB’s system were shown yesterday Our wingers drop very deep out of possession, which helps defensively, but means they find themselves on the ball in the defensive third and can’t get themselves 1v1 against fullbacks or in behind
