@JosephDavi83110@_moonSZN@GrandfadaX Re-encode before uploading: HandBrake (free, on PC) with the "Fast 720p30" preset usually shrinks a 500 MB clip a lot. On your phone, record at 1080p 30fps instead of 4K/60. Saves data every time.
@jrs_mesh Heads up: PDF "no editing" passwords are easy to strip with free tools. Flattening was the right move; a visible watermark across the map, or sending a lower-res version, protects it a lot better.
@Laure_Findele Usually the PDF on your phone is fine if the barcode scans. Save it offline (not only in your email), turn brightness up, and screenshot the barcode as a backup. Check the ticket terms: a few venues require paper.
@brother_seyiabj If you're stuck with one, skip the printer: on iPhone, Files > Markup lets you type and sign. Or, full disclosure, I'm the creator of WebFileTools, which fills PDF forms in the browser: webfiletools.com/en/fill-pdf-fo…
@worksfess I'm the creator of WebFileTools, so I'm biased: its PDF merge runs in your browser, free, no account. For the new text page, write it in Google Docs, download as PDF, then merge both. webfiletools.com/en/merge-pdf
Solo dev log: while testing my own tools I found a boring bug. A file picked right after the page loads is sometimes ignored. A reload fixes it, but nobody should have to guess that. Fixing the boring stuff is most of the job.
@SheredderF Compress it to a target size instead of cutting it: set the Discord or X limit as the target, and drop to 720p so it still looks clean. Free browser tool I built for this, the clip stays on your PC: webfiletools.com/en/video-compr…
before sharing a scanned ID or contract, shrink the image first. A 4 MB phone photo is rarely needed; 1200 px wide is enough for most forms. Fewer megabytes, fewer bytes leaked.
@Ael1th@iiirite@Ar1aAU No install needed for that: a browser compressor where you type the target size in MB works fine for Steam clips. I made a free one, it runs locally so the clip never leaves your PC: webfiletools.com/en/video-compr…
@Faeswar@Tidalbounded Credit is the least people can do. If you do watermark, a soft tiled mark at low opacity is much harder to crop out without wrecking the art. I built a free browser tool for it: webfiletools.com/en/image-water…
@JoGu1802@Flick_Backup Yes, it has to happen before upload. For new photos, a quick pass in a watermark tool beats re-exporting from an editor. I built a free one that runs in the browser (text or logo, tiled, opacity): webfiletools.com/en/image-water…
@anuran_maity@BrivundimonasD No need to print and scan. If it's a PDF locked with a password you have, you can remove the lock and upload a clean copy. I built this free tool (Unlock tab, processed on a Québec server): webfiletools.com/en/protect-pdf
@bebe_269@12Maikeffi If it's a PDF (CV, scanned certificates), the eBook level usually gets it under upload limits and stays readable. I built this free tool; it runs on a server in Québec and deletes the file after: webfiletools.com/en/compress-pdf
@realcole778 14 hours is rough. YouTube re-encodes everything anyway, so a smaller export with a target size or bitrate uploads way faster. I built a free compressor that runs in the browser: webfiletools.com/en/video-compr…
@Notorious_REG It is a great feature. If that's the main reason for Premium, there are free options now that do the cutout on your own device. I built one, no account needed: webfiletools.com/en/remove-back…
@devsahadat Same conclusion here: Document mode or a link. For clients I send a time-limited download link, so the original file arrives untouched and then expires. I built this free one: webfiletools.com/en/file-drop
@Dimeji__Lawal The two-email dance is supposed to be the security. A one-time link that self-destructs after download is less painful for the recipient. I built a free one (encrypted, hosted in Québec): webfiletools.com/en/secret-file…
@hecodesforme Converting in the browser before upload is the right call. For anyone who just needs the file, I built a HEIC to JPG converter that also runs client-side, nothing uploaded: webfiletools.com/en/heic-to-jpg
