No question agentic hardware is the next big thing. Meta built the Muse Charm, and we're all still waiting on OpenAI's device. Interface is an interesting ring that goes in the same direction: you just talk to it and your agents handle the rest.
Introducing Interface, the primary hardware for the agent era.
Interface lets you control all your agents from your hand.
$99 for early adopters. Ships in January.
"The AI community needs to share safety and alignment research openly so that every team building AI models can learn from others’ mistakes. The community also needs to build open-weight AI models for defence and make them widely available — before the next attack inevitably arrives." @Thom_Wolf of Hugging Face tinyurl.com/j7z9jevs
the uncanny mix of delight & dread that ai creates in us is a huge tell. anything that provokes both wonder & recoil this much is usually sitting on a tectonic faultline for the species.
think about fire, electricity, nuclear, etc. all of them felt magical & terrifying at once. if ai were just useful it’d be a footnote.
the fact that it bends people into awe & anxiety simultaneously means it’s a primary axis of history, not simply a gadget.
We are excited to introduce Mercury, the first commercial-grade diffusion large language model (dLLM)! dLLMs push the frontier of intelligence and speed with parallel, coarse-to-fine text generation.
Marc Andreessen jokes that this is not Elon Musk's first time through the sim: like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day, Elon's extraordinary run of success can only be explained by repeated experiments in the simulation
Leopold Aschenbrenner’s SITUATIONAL AWARENESS predicts we are on course for Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) by 2027, followed by superintelligence shortly thereafter, posing transformative opportunities and risks.
This is an excellent and important read :
