New video: Is uv the future of Python Packaging?
I’ve set out with a yes/no question to keep it short, but somehow ended up contextualizing Python’s packaging problems and the video ended up 18 mins long.
Enjoy, like, subscribe, etc!

Loved youtube.com/watch?v=3iJjBO… - When to (Not) Use Dunder Methods? It directly covers the side of Python features so often missing in articles / videos - when not to use them
Here's a great way to build Python packages // Python packages with pyproject.toml and nothing else | Simon Willison’s TILs til.simonwillison.net/python/pyproje…
We're back! Our next goal is to build a When of Python site listing specific Python features and providing when-to guidance. The content will probably be delivered using doxify with front end feature searching in Javascript.
Just found this in the wild... again 😂
As time has passed, recruitment has changed... now it's 6 years of experience with @FastAPI 🤦
No one has that, I'm pretty sure, I have 4+ and I created it 😅
AGAIN: years of experience ≠ skill level 😎
Please stop that, STAAAHP! 😬
I was pretty impressed by the @RoyKishony's Quibbler demo. It has the highest payoff for least amount of effort that I've seen in a long time.
Imagine converting static data analysis to interactive analysis with only one line of code.
I recommend taking five minutes to try it.

Dataclasses make for much more readable code, especially when combined with type hinting. See when-of-python.github.io/blog/classy-da…. Generally speaking we should prefer them to named tuples. Comments welcome.

One of the main rationales for the When of Python initiative is to ensure Common Python can be taught in a manageable amount of time. See youtube.com/watch?v=JnY5ME… Scientists and engineers are a very important group for Python. #whenofpython
