While writing a description for an npc, I got to wondering what skin undertones creatures might have if their blood wasn't red. I ended up watching a series of makeup tutorials trying to understand how skin undertones worked... This hobby can lead to unexpected places. 🤣
@WizardsRespite I once used the 3.5 web template the Entomanthope plus Giant Cockcroach from Underdark to create a were-cockroach. I learned ... WAY too much about roaches.
@WizardsRespite Water pneumatic systems for a temple complex. I dunno what the hell I was thinking. 🤷🏻♂️ #dnd
@WizardsRespite Common foods, recipes, herbal medicine for different climates. Where certain fruits & vegetables originated IRL so I can have them originating/more common in similar environments etc. I can & have spent hundreds of hours delving into this for my world and for my curiosity.
@WizardsRespite Not the strangest one, there are too many to remember the strangest, but I wanted a cryptid in my campaign, and ended up buying 3 separate books cataloguing cryptids and early 1900s american folk critters. My setting is now just the Appalachian area of MD and PA.
