As someone who works with artists on Arts Council England bids, it can feel like the only funding resource available. I want to make a list of all other types of alternative funding for independent, grass roots artists. Who wants in? Who knows stuff? Let’s share our knowledge!

On one hand I’m ready to send my script off... on the other hand I know that if I leave it for a while and come back to it I can make it better...on one foot I don’t want the companies to lose interest in my work...on the other foot I don’t want them to think the script is shite

I call this the representation effect: In 2012 girls and women taking up archery classes more than doubled after ‘The Hunger Games’ and ‘Brave’ was released. It’s why we need more diverse and interesting characters on our screen to improve and inspire all of us.
