I'm so saddened by seeing all these authors justifying why they use a pen name and/or don't show their faces. This is NOT the lesson to take away from this situation. Pen names and author personas are important for a NUMBER of reasons, especially for safety purposes. 1/4

Maybe this is common knowledge for everyone, but I just found out that a great way to really establish your character's voice is to do an interview with them. I'm having so much fun with it right now 😅

I have a major life event and disappear for a year or more. I want to get back into writing but motherhood is one of the harder life events I've encountered 😅 sooner or later I'll have my first book done 😭

Taking time off my manuscript is so hard. I thought it'd at least been 2 weeks since I finished, but I checked and it hasn't even been 10 days 😅😭

It took me all of one day to stay away from writing. I started writing a timeline for the second book of the trilogy since I changed so much in the first book. #amwriting

Aha! I finished the first draft of my novel! I wrote 90,000+ words! 😩 Now, I start my vacation for two weeks or so while I let it cool off and then I'll dive right in with a fresh mind. It feels terrible to not write every day, it was like my therapy 😭

It's hard to incorporate feelings into my writing when I have such severe depression. Sometimes I just type out clear cut dialog and scenes without any emotional imput from the characters. I find It helps when I listen to music that will invoke that feeling within me. #depression
