@hafiziqbal1985 @jameschin110 I agree that the AHL itself does not curb MPs from voting their conscience.. it’s the combo of AHL + party constitutions which deem MPs to have resigned when they vote against leadership direction. Again, whether that’s in line with principles of democracy is up for debate

@hafiziqbal1985 @jameschin110 My point is: That ship sailed long ago, i.e. MPs have already decided that these are the rules they want to play by - both in passing the AHL/10(3A) & amending party constitutions. So, yes -- AHL + party rules allow this.

@hafiziqbal1985 @jameschin110 2/3 of MPs from last parliament voted to insert Article 10(3A) to the Constitution precisely to restrict their freedom of association (somewhat) in this regard. MOU itself is not legally binding (honour system, really)… But spirit of transparency matters in this climate

@RohanBeg The Padang Serai result on 7/12 basically mirrors what probably would have happened on 19/11. It’s barely 2 weeks since Anwar took office and PH winning would actually be the crazier result. Still, shouldn’t play down a big seat flip to PN (whether on 19/11 or 7/12).

@nizambakeri What he said is he had cultivated networks pre-GE to prepare for possibility of talks in event of hung parliament. Anwar-Zahid pact: Maybe it’s true but that’s not what Saifuddin admitted.

@AlawiyahYussof It’s 1 of 3 things under Article 40 (2) which HM does not need to act on advice of the govt.

@dimishtra @hanimomo 😂 “Health Minister’s Office” The public doesn’t need this tweet. It only asks that you exercise your authority in a way that benefits everyone.

@luqmanhriz @JeffriMS @501Awani @ashwadismail You actually had to do MORE work to sort the data of which component parties the PH candidates are from and then put that into your graphics. This highly likely not “terlepas pandang” and we won’t be surprised if more stuff get “terlepas” in the future.
