Check out why they do this: “The vast majority of the content we watch on YouTube is recommended by one of YouTube's algorithm. Though, these systems are not neutral, and they are optimised for the platform's profit, not your best interest.” @YouChooseAI

Super interesting that startups such as @YouChooseAI already use interoperability, which is regulated as an necessary obligation for gatekeepers (towards business users) in the DMA. Data-sharing is sometimes very useful!

Platforms use secret recommendation algorithms to decide whether a creator's works reach their subscribers. Tools like Tracking Exposed reverse-engineer the algorithms, exposing the secret rules creators are expected to follow, but not allowed to know. eff.org/deeplinks/2022…
