Heard today of a former acquaintance here in Lahore. Young married guy, successful businessman, religiously-oriented, 3 sons. Caught the ‘polygamy’ bug from the maulvis. Wife tried to reason with him, told him she couldn’t live like that. He insisted. He now has zero wives.

Look forward to reading this article by Salman bhai. The highlighted part is particularly important: it shows that you can (and should!) re-assess established fiqhi opinions and modify/discard them if facts today contradict them + old interpretations could be erroneous.

Easy way to improve your connection with God - start saying the Sunnah duas (eating, sleeping, protection, etc.) in your native language instead of reciting them in Arabic. Exception is, of course, if you’re fluent in Arabic. Make the switch from *reciting* to *praying*.
