@LucidBee_ @Jose1Pino @CBCNews Not sarcastic. A family of four receives between 800 and 2200 in rebates too offset the cost, and the net revenue is invested back into the economy through grants to modernize the energy sector. The whole point is to incentivize lower costing, sustainable energy consumption.

@LucidBee_ @Jose1Pino @CBCNews But the Carbon Tax itself generated pretty much that same amount just last year - and that's after providing grants and rebates to Canadians.

@Freedom202324 @CanadaKlr @ctvottawa The kids didn't "listen to what they want" - the principal decided what they were going to listen to. As for the song being about peace - it's been coopted by Hamas supporters. That's like saying swastikas are cool because it was originally a symbol for good fortune.

@CTVAtlantic Sounds like the perfect opportunity to reach out to the CAF and have a member come by and talk about the the life they chose, in order to foster greater understanding. The CAF's National Veterans Week Speaker Program was created for this specific purpose. apps.forces.gc.ca/en/vet/index.a…

@Women___Exist @CTVAtlantic It's also common for them to start being aware of their sexual orientation early on, and feel distressed due to feeling they aren't normal and/or different than everyone else. The whole point of learning about these things is to prevent that.

@BarneyEinstein @IAmWhatIAmBuds @CTVAtlantic Do you believe that sheltering the kids from learning about heroin, the consequences of using it, and how addiction destroys lives will somehow prevent them from getting their hands on it later in life? Learning and being informed sure kept me from ever wanting to try.

@steveinusa @IAmWhatIAmBuds @CTVAtlantic Really? No one was hurling the words "gay" or "faggot" as an insult back in the 70s? I remember being 6 or 7 when when I first heard it. I agree with the others - you're either very out of touch, or willfully ignorant.

@Morbidful If it's 23 deaths for 100 "successful" climbs, then it'd be 23 deaths out of 123 total attempts. So more like 1 in 5 chance of not surviving.

@NotFifthGear You're going into this trying to tear apart the smallest detail. It's exhausting. There were certainly conditions imposed on the crew, like filming under dry conditions only. Just be happy for what this is: F1 excitement in mainstream media. Otherwise, just watch a damn race.

@BehindTheCouch @SulloReport You can't compare the BAR and the VCARB. At least the VCARB has been reliable. Those DNFs for Villeneuve are a whole lot of the car just breaking.

@SulloReport I don't even know how those two years at BAR can count - I don't think I can remember any other car just randomly breaking down as often as that one. It was just incredibly unreliable.

@SensChirp Watching the Sens win is great and all, but NOTHING brings me joy like watching the Leafs absolutely fail while having that disgusting core.
