Couldn’t be bothered with trying to get to Chesham with the 2 hourly service to London, so instead gone to watch football somewhere where the last train was 40 years ago. Can still do the old line on a bike though (despite a very hilly last mile up into the town itself)

Complete opposite to last weekend. Started well, took the game to them, completely stifled any threat of a response with a 46th minute goal and solid defensive display. Up the City!

I get why we went with that formation at Worthing. But today, at home to a side that won’t be that strong this season, starting with one up front was questionable. Probably deserved a point, but with a tough run of fixtures to come, think we still needed more than that today

Decided to keep it local today, and finally visit Chard Town and their slope. Chard 2-0 up at half time, visitors Fry Club were immense second half and turned it around to win 5-2. All 7 goals were scored up this slope! Great start to the competitive season

Pretty happy with that tbh. Not bothered about most local aways being Tuesdays, most of the vaguely fun aways are on Saturdays and spaced out. Dunno why they’ve given us Chippenham (A) on Boxing Day yet again, but it’s not that fun regardless of the day of the year anyway

No real complaints about the result, Chippenham deserved that based upon their second half showing. Never had such an enjoyable means of getting to a home game though!
