Is anyone running a beelink mini PC for development and what is it like? I've just upgraded my monitor to an ultra wide 34" and have a 27' monitor, but my laptop won't output to both at full resolution

Choices for tonight... Development work or infrastructure changing. Both have their learning benefits and take me closer to a goal...one seems more fun right now, but that might be because the other seems more challenging short term

So the @tldrnewsletter has an article today about a PDF bigger than Germany. Great fun reading, and finding the author mad a PDF reportedly bigger than size of the universe. I didn't calculate it, but it's BIG! alexwlchan.net/2024/big-pdf/

I can't help feeling that #databreach emails starting "dear valued customer" miss the mark somewhat. Not valued enough for you to use my name, nor to take the time to make them less spammy. On the plus side there were no links to click for me to action so @SamsungUK did that ok

Planning out the #homelab tonight. Got the first 7 VMs ready to configure. Just need to get the network up and running so they can get their updates and install packages. Going to need more network cable

Measure twice, buy once! That has to be my new mantra. I bought a higher POE output network switch, only to find the power lead doesn't fit in it whilst it's in my network cabinet. Going to have to cut a hole for the cable now

Back to the Ubiquiti Unify or TP Link omada ecosystem debate. Kids need Wi-Fi for school, but I've got a crap ISP router without any management for traffic or VLANS, or additional SSIDs...so is the 50% premium for Unifi worth it? I could go Omada, save money, and create content
