Very good report here that spells out how graduates are becoming trapped in an inescapable debt spiral. Many are paying thousands off their student loans each year - but the total amount owed actually increases because of the interest. Perhaps a good topic for the next @polcurrency podcast?
A report on the interest paid on student loans. As Sophy Ridge says, its staggering. To people who say we can't afford to scrap student loans or write off the debt (we can), why can't the loans be made interest free?
