I though this was a comical jab at the incompetent people in charge, including the poison control centers and other agencies in Texas. The "danger" of #kratom was somehow supported by morons who tried to INHALE kratom powder? Probably accidental. Otherwise, a new low for Texas?

This is a great example of a potential win-win situation. Indonesian farmers who have made their living this way can develop more monetary influence over their economy and government as well. We in the US get a supply of native plant for research and therapeutic use. #kratom

... Nociception means PAIN KILLING ABILITY. 7OH-mitragynine has 17 times the pain mitigating efficacy of morphine. That has NOTHING to do with a "high". This is the type of understanding government agencies like the @US_FDA and @DEAHQ and news outlets can't understand. #kratom

If agencies like the @US_FDA and @DEAHQ had simply read and taken the time to understand the science done on #kratom then we could have saved the cash it cost taxpayers to push a ban on it.

If you need examples of the conceptual difference between a "high" and nociception then ask any opioid addict taking methadone treatment. Methadone can cause significant respiratory depression in blocking symptoms of withdrawal, but addicts I talked to say there's NO HIGH.
