Y1 visited Portland Basin today as part of their history learning. We learned about life during the 1800s and how Britain has changed since then! We had a great day!

Today our year 3 children visited Whitworth Art Gallery as part of their current animation topic. We took part in a stop motion animation workshop where the children drew inspiration from the art work within the gallery, and then brought it to life! @DimensionsCC @WhitworthArt

Y1 loved their fairytale workshop today! We listened to lots of stories, learned about the origins of different fairytales, looked at different trees and animals, danced to traditional music and explored lots of fairytale related artifacts! @DanTasticEdu @DimensionsCC

On Friday our year 3 children engaged in an animation workshop applying their knowledge of stop motion animation. They created their own characters and brought them to life using the stop motion app on the iPads! @DimensionsCC

During science lessons this week, Y1 used binoculars to observe local birds. We created observational drawings, classified different living things, compared a range of birds and made charts to record our findings! @DimensionsCC @Hollingworth6AH

Year One really enjoyed their first Forest School lesson today! We read a book called ‘The Stickman’ and created our own stickmen using things found in the Forest School area.
