Recent seizures lifted body count re #leopard poaching to over 400 in #India/#Nepal since start of 2020, so under 2 years. Seizures only an indicator, true toll very much higher. Data tells bit of the story, it is our relationship with this animal which needs true examination.

The sheer scale of seizures is the highest on record and we're not near the end of the 3rd quarter yet. Just known cases (the unknown is even more head shaking) points to over 150 killed leopards across India/Nepal using 2021 figures alone.
