So, next year I plan to finally get back to working on Semprola. The most obvious thing to be considering when I do this, is how does the advent of truely usable LLMs fit into the approach to programming that I've been working on.

The latest Covid lockdown has further reduced the available time I have to make videos and write blog posts, but I also feel compelled to make at least some progress on the projects that are deeply important to me. So I have finally published a new video: youtu.be/Mr09YDSML08

One of the reasons why there is so much debate about climate change is because most of the supporting evidence for it has to remain 'off-stage'. It's much easier to agree about things that can be brought 'on-stage', in front of each other. Full video: youtu.be/iujsB7DrEvc

@seanmcdirmid18 @jonathoda Yes indeed. And, there's a possibility that suggesting a move to graphical coding is like a suggestion to do maths in pictograms. But also it may be that "better notation" needs new characters (and layouts?), not just another new syntax with the existing character sets.

@milessabin @DRMacIver Great thread! And all of this helps highlight a key difference between mathematics and program code. The social semantics of program code is orders of magnitude more complex than mathematics making code closer in nature to language than maths.
