The Trump Plan is a plain diplomatic chutzpah. It’s not what Pakistan and other Arab and Islamic countries agreed to. It does not say two-state solution is the only viable solution for peace in the region. It also gives no timeline for the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza.

Israel & US say recognition of Palestine State glorifies Hamas. Nonsense. The UNGA has adopted the NY Declaration which leaves no role for Hamas in Gaza. Why Mahmood Abbas of PA is not given visa by Trump to attend the NY Summit on Palestine? They want you to believe he is Hamas.

Bagram Airbase is not anybody’s father’s inheritance. It belongs to Afghan people. Afghanistan’s history is witness that they have never accepted any occupier or lease holder on their fatherland. The US knows this but perhaps Trump does not.

President Trump is keen to grab the Nobel Peace Prize 2025 which he probably deserves. But he has weakened his claim by naming the US Defence Department as Department of War, reminding the world of the days of the Cold War and nuclear arms buildup by all nuclear-capable states.

Now that the SCO Summit (Tanjing) is over, every country will read its Joint Communique according to what it likes there. Just read newspapers of SCO member states. This is the fragility of multilateral meetings. The more members there are the less work gets done in real terms.
