@boomers_ass Saw some of the creepiest rabbits at EGUN. Apparently they use some type of poison that destroys their eyes and eventually the die. Can’t tell you how many time the MX truck was attacked by eyeless rabbits on the taxiway.

@Danworldtour A gas Kamado? That looks interesting. I’ve had a Big Green Egg since 98 (brought it back to England from Red Flag) Feel like it’s the best purchase I’ve ever made.

@boomers_ass It was a weird recovery, all the staph cars showed up and as soon as the chalks were in and the motors shutdown they whisked everyone away for a debrief. A couple hours later we found out what happened.

@boomers_ass @misterrepublic Ever peel back the insulation in the boom pod and lift the water drain flapper and burn one? An old timers showed me this, was afraid the smell would make it obvious to the crew what we were doing.

@WolfBoy118xi @xAviation We put the first system on a KC-135. Test Tanker 2, the MTBF for the SLTA was terrible.

@EO18971 @MCCCANM @TheIntelFrog The writing is with hydraulic fluid and grease. I’m 6’1” and could write very bit of that standing on the ground, especially if the plane has a heavy fuel load. The reference was more for how low to the ground the flap is.

@EO18971 @MCCCANM @TheIntelFrog To climb up the back of the wing, you place your right hand where the red line is, stand on the #7 tire, pull your self up and left hand goes over the fillet flap, left foot to the red line and you’re on the wing.

@MCCCANM @TheIntelFrog Looks like it’s in preflt config. Flaps are the last thing to come up after walk around and flight controls. Hatches out until engine start. W model RCs were the best for flap art, TRs always left good grime to decorate. DCCs gonna get their stool pushed in when RTB

@boomers_ass It would probably be quicker/cheaper if a company other than Boeing took existing 777s and modified them into tankers. Look at how quickly L-3 turned the new AF-1

@boomers_ass @bee_beesupercub We tried to paint the wing not black back in 2008 or so, the Cobra Ball Mafia threw a fit and demanded to keep it for historical purposes. 128 was the first to have cameras on both sides and didn’t need the left wing black…..🤷‍♂️

@boomers_ass @LearnAndFly I was at Kadena 87-90. The R models got all the good trips, Australia, Guam, Thailand. Did many trips to Clark, Osan, Kunsan, and Misawa. Best trip was dragging F-16 to Singapore for the weekend. Parked the jet Friday and waited for Monday.

@boomers_ass We delivered them to Offutt. Prior to delivery the entire squadron would go do a shakedown inspection. We called it Station 4. Station 3 was pre FCF. Don’t miss doing FCFs at all.
