Dev tries to sneak in something that is her responsibilities, claiming it's a network (connectivity) issue. Turns out, it was a combination of crazies. - network firewall bug - tampered configurations - not maintained (worse than poorly) database application

Made a rookie mistake when dealing with tech debt 🥲 I did not pay enough attention to the quality of the data and assumed standard practice 😆 In this AD, there are (at least) 5 scenarios. - Null proxyAddresses - upn not in PA - mail not in PA - mail not primary SMTP - no mail..

And I have a brand new ethernet cable from a reputable brand that is just long enough to cause enough signal degradation for the connecting device to not work. It powers up the device (PoE+) but doesn't pass signal 😥 Took me and the network engineer a good hour to troubleshoot

I thought I was insane, then I was proved to be wrong. By default, Palo Alto Cortex XDR SSO with Entra ID does not support FIDO... Any users (admins) that have FIDO (in my case, Microsoft Authenticator Passkey) enabled will fail to login. 😅

This week(end) in random Microsoft issue... My colleague found one of the domain controllers (authentication and dns) is semi inaccessible After checking, we found the virtual network adapter randomly switched from private firewall profile to public... 🙃
