I’ve taken almost every trade this year on Platinum. - Longs - Shorts - Clean structure You don’t need 10 instruments to make money. You need deep experience with 1 or 2. That’s how you become consistent.
This is my favourite trading playbook. The 3 touchpoint trendline break!
Lesson #1: Less is more. I used to trade 50–70 times a year. But last year… Less than 20. And I only focused on 2 instruments: platinum and crude oil. Simplifying everything made my trading way more consistent.
I treated my watchlist like dating: You can’t build real trust juggling 10 relationships. Trading’s the same. Pick a few, get to know them deeply. That’s when things click. Here’s why:
Lesson #2: Set bigger goals. I thought doubling last year’s profits would be hard. But I hit it early… With less than 20 trades. And after taking 2 months off. That’s when I realized my goal was too small.
If your goals feel “reasonable,” you’re playing it safe. Growth happens when you’re uncomfortable. So next year, I’m setting goals that scare me even more. Delusional goals create a different level of focus.
Lesson #3: When it clicks, it clicks. This year, trading became second nature. I didn’t hesitate and I didn’t force setups. I just trusted the system, and it worked.
Most traders overcomplicate everything. They switch charts, change strategies, and wonder why nothing works. Last year I made $200K with less than 20 trades. Here are the 3 lessons that helped me simplify and scale:🧵
Once you find consistency, that’s when you scale. But scale slowly. I started increasing position size only after proving to myself that my edge was real, and repeatable.
How to actually get better at trading:
Most traders draw trendlines randomly. Here’s how I do it right, using top-down analysis: 1. Start on the monthly chart 2. Identify the lowest visible point 3. Connect higher lows for an uptrend (Every trendline starts with A → B)

You don’t need one “perfect” exit method. Use multiple exit signals in confluence. - HTF lines - S/R zones - Safety Line breaks. Let price action tell you what’s most relevant in the moment. That’s how real traders exit with confidence.

Here's the real trading flex 👀👇 It's not your P&L. It's the percentage gain. You could turn $3K into $900 (30%) or $1M into $300K (30%)… the skill is the same. Dollar amounts look flashy, but percentages tell the truth.
Most traders cut winners short because they’re glued to price. Swing trading taught me to zoom out, and trust my plan. Letting my winners run was the biggest breakthrough in my entire journey.
