The culture of a school is created by everyone in the school. Walk in a school and see how the front office staff talks and interacts or the staff /teachers in the hallway. Yes the admin influences it but everyone is ultimately responsible for a positive school culture.

Since @Sflecce doesn’t visit actual classrooms, thought I’d share this with him. 😊

I don't understand how having to be removed from class daily doesn't automatically trigger an emergency IEP meeting to revise the IEP. It pisses me off that the educational rights of all students don't matter equally.

I don’t think most teachers need to be taught “resilience.” What they need is an admin that supports them with behavior. We significantly improved student behavior here at my school and “resilience” magically emerged.

Saturdays are for reflecting about my week. This week in my little #onted world has been a reminder that principals matter a lot. Their actions reverberate. Every time they act (or don't), it sends a signal to the whole school. Principals need to reflect about the 'signals'.

Since Doug Ford has become Premier average grocery bills have skyrocketed, healthcare is on the brink of collapse, and public school funding has been cut by billions. So much "getting done" for Ontarians. 🤦‍♂️ #onted #onpoli

Students shouldn't be the only reason teachers stay. Leaders should be a reason too! Create an environment where your professionals look forward to coming to work.

As school leaders, we have to listen. When educators tell us things aren’t right, there’s a reason. When there’s significant turnover, we have to pay attention. When multiple teachers tell the same story, we need to believe them. When we know better, we need to do better.

Who else thinks that the Ontario government should stop spending taxpayer dollars on appealing the court decision that struck down Bill 124…and instead just use that money to fix our healthcare system? ✋🏽

Any word on the QEW heading into fort Erie. Wanting to go support elderly family there when it’s safe to go.

Stop acting perplexed that 8 teen girls could kill a stranger. It starts with your 8yo children being able to insult their bus drivers, call their teachers b*tch, and without consequences. It starts with negative parenting & a culture that fails to instill respect in children.

Ending licence renewal fees means a loss of over $1 billion in annual revenue, and we still have to renew. Where does that $1 billion come out of provincial spending? Could we instead use that to properly compensate healthcare workers? Improve ventilation in schools? #onpoli

EQAO testing costs Ontarians over $30 million a year & doesn't provide teachers w/ anything they don't already know. Let's invest that money into student #MentalHealth & #SafeSchools instead. #onpoli
