I respect the dedication to debating Prots lol. Once it became clear to me that they are our Christian brothers and sisters who simply havent dove into study enough (yet), I personally came to the conclusion there was no point. If they put the time in themselves, they will see. If they dont, then they sure as hell wont believe anything I say online lol. Lots of supporting resources that have been developed collaboratively over 2,000+ years at their disposal to aid in scriptural study. If they choose to stick to their 20-70 yr old self to interpret and dont put the study time in (cuz apparently its not important enough??) theres nothing I can do to help 😂

Rev 12:1- “… I saw a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon beneath her feet, and a crown of twelve stars on her head.” Who could this woman/Queen be that wears a crown with TWELVE stars? Rev 12:5- “She gave birth to a son who was to rule all nations with an iron rod.” I wonder who that could be????? Protestants always do this bait-and-switch. The argument is not, "The Septuagint or Dead Sea Scrolls contain a book, therefore it is Scripture." The argument is that the books Protestants later rejected were widely used by Jews and Christians before Protestantism existed, appeared in ancient biblical manuscripts, were read in the Church, and, most importantly, were authoritatively received as Scripture in the Christian canon long before Luther’s rebellion and the endless fracturing that followed. Pointing out that ancient collections also contained non-scriptural writings refutes an argument nobody made. This is not scholarship. It's embarrassing.

Studying the ECF’s in depth and the biblical origins of Mariology is what made me “give-up” on arguing with Prots. Once you look into it, you realize that the only people that can get them over the hump is themselves. It really is that obvious. If they put the time in, they’ll see. If they don’t, they won’t. And every single one will look you dead in the eyes and say they studied it. But I suppose by study they mean they read the bible themselves and interpreted it themselves. Any well laid out external source can bring a 5 yr old to see the biblical origins like Mariology, but I suppose such is the problem with Sola Scriptura, you are ignoring 2000 years of exogetical study. Same goes for the Trinity, many wouldnt come to it’s conclusion without assistance from external sources. The problem is that the Trinity doesnt really have any widespread pre-conceived negative notions engrained in peoples heads, something like Mariology does, so they DONT even bother putting the time in. Imo efforts are better spent evangelizing non-believers who may actually be willing to listen.
