Being married and a parent does wonders for your professional credibility. How many single & childless leaders of countries have you seen? This narrative that children are set backs is complete BS.
I completely understand the perspective that women often have to sacrifice their career progress to look after children. But overall life progress is much more than how far you get in your career. A mother who chooses to look after and nurture her children is a success. I stand by the perspective that ‘children are a setback’ when used in a broad sense, is bs.
@__Unknown_D_ Women are abused. Have no money of their own. Have no way to support themselves if the husband decides to trade in for a newer model. This is not ok. And women need to be told that financial abuse is real. If this is such a success and so important pay women for their labor.
@__Unknown_D_ Help me, how is she a success. As the Husband, you should take time off your career and take care of the children while your wife proceeds with her career, so you can be a success too
@__Unknown_D_ Woahhh, this is so twisted. So the man gains credibility while the woman looses her career and her success is based on being a mum? 😂😂 Twitter standards will never seize to amaze me.
@__Unknown_D_ If overall life progress is much more than how far you go in your career what’s the point of career credibility? Y’all keep creating narratives that favour your gender and we see what you’re doing.
@__Unknown_D_ All these problems will be solved if we can go back to the time when women were not expected to work.
@__Unknown_D_ This heavily contradicts your first tweet. And ending it with that statement just shows you don’t understand the perspective. Finally, one half of society can’t decide what the other half consider personal success.
@__Unknown_D_ Shifted the goalpost from professional credibility to ‘life progress’ when you realized you were wrong. You don’t get to determine who feels their life is good or not. If a woman wants to have a career & family, she should not be penalized for it but often is.
@__Unknown_D_ There is so much data showing that having children holds women back from promotion, derails careers, and torpedos their income/retirement savings...your claim it's "bs" based on man-vibes or ?? BTW, seen the stats on how much labor just having a *husband* adds to a woman's life?
@__Unknown_D_ Why don’t you sacrifice your own career, aren’t they your kids as well?
@__Unknown_D_ Overall life progress is much more than how far you get in your career. A fater who chooses to look after and nurture his children is a success. So YOU do it. BE a SAHD: No one is stopping you.
