Hi everyone I’m currently looking for research opportunities in the field of heat and human health. I recently completed my PhD examining how hot environments impact athlete heat strain and performance. If you’re in this space and know any projects/jobs, I’d love to connect!

Does a reflective coating help or hinder an athlete's ability to handle the heat at the Olympics? Our modeling results in 3 Olympic cities say there's no sig. difference...if anything, the added radiation reflection onto the athlete can worsen heat strain. link.springer.com/article/10.100…

Particularly important given that practitioners may have a concerning lack of knowledge regarding exertional heat illness. Alabdulwahed and colleagues in 2022 highlighted that practitioners believed a safe core body temperature was between 29-45 degrees C!!
