@TTWAR62 Sometimes we forget that we're a side with a lot of new players, coming together under a new manager playing a different style of football in a world Cup year when there was little opportunity for a pre-season. If we look a bit disjointed, its little wonder.

@bernardooooV3 Nobody believes it. Just another sham excuse to go with the sham sponsorship contracts. If any of this were true they wouldn't have disguised the payments, submited incorrect financial info or refused to cooperate. In other words, its bollocks..

@Watch_LFC PL rules dont stop clubs owners from investing billions in the club. You can put as much money as they want to stadiums, academies etc. What the rules restrict is putting limitless cash directly into player wages and transfers. Signing up to that is a prerequisite to entry.

@dankthemanc Football clubs d not operate exactly like normal businesses in a free market. The Premier League is a private members' association. Under UK and EU law, sports governing bodies are legally permitted to restrict normal free-market trade.

@GeorgieGirlLvp I suspect HMRC may well follow this up. Not just with City, theres probably all sorts of off-book payments made to individuals (Mancini etc al) that they'll probably want to look at.

@henrywinter There are massive HMRC implications of this ruling. Not just for the club but for individuals paid "off-book" Whether a UK Gov department will pursue a friendly nation state for the money is a wholly different matter.

@_PigginTeaBreak Alternatively, if i invested my 2k per year for 40 years, id expect to have around £400k at the end not £158k. So if you put it like that, it feels like were getting a pretty shifty deal out of this scheme.

@BladeoftheS In Luxembourg, the amount you get is based on your lifetime earnings and how long you work. (You have to contribute 8.5% of salary yourself as does your employer) Essentially the more you put in the more you get out. The
