We get into senseless races in life. But each of us is on a unique program and a unique timetable. We all emerged from a unique set of circumstances. Even twins have unique backgrounds. It is stupid to get into emotionally unhealthy competitiveness.

As to this trending issue of "work-life balance," Listen, before you, there was medicine, after you, there will be medicine. Am i encouraging being a mediocre? Certainly not! But REST is key to being excellent. Burning out is of no productive value.

Please be careful with the use of NSAIDS (Diclofenac, ibuprofen, etc). My team has managed quite a number of NSAID induced perforated peptic/gastric ulcer disease this year alone.

The doctor practicing in Nigeria easily gets exhausted by doing a lot of things that are not primarily his/her job. Efficiency is lost, and the few hands available are drained by a poorly structured system.
