For me it’s one of his best - soulful horns , a touch of gospel, hammond vibes, great tunes and Dylan’s in fine voice. I can’t understand why it got such a mediocre reception.

I’ve got many reservations about ChatGPT but asked for a mixing tip for my next single and told it I was using Pro Tools, Abbey Road plug-ins and a few others. The advice was novel and astounding - about 80% there. Song going for a John Lennon/Richard Hawley vibe.

RIP Brian Wilson. The word ‘genius’ is often overused but not in the case of Brian. He could hear melodies and progressions that no-one else could. Pet Sounds esp is a masterpiece and God Only Knows is probably the greatest song ever IMO theguardian.com/music/2025/jun…
