@ProfessorStacie Each student is totally different in how they learn and the pace they learn at. To help these students you have to first get to know them to understand how you can accommodate them.

@ProfessorStacie They are important because they deserve to have help in areas they cannot understand. Neurotypical people have tutors so it makes extra sense to let neurodivergent individuals get the same.

@ProfessorStacie I will design my classroom and activities based off of my students mental capacity. The layout will stay the same if there are impaired students, like your example of being blind and not know where to go. A change in environment is stressful for kids especially.

@ProfessorStacie It is important that everyone work towards helping these students for the best possible growth and environment for them. To understand how they work towards this goal helps us as teachers work toward that goal as well.

@ProfessorStacie The amount of time teachers put into the classroom out side of class is more than expected. You also have to still carry yourself as a teacher in public.

@ProfessorStacie The struggle with online class from the pandemic has caused scores to go down drastically. The stress from the teachers and students had been greater the past few years than ever. I feel as if scores will improve the next few years when things semi go back to normal.

@ProfessorStacie Being a new teacher comes with a lot “expectations” that I hope I can amount to. I’m also worried I won’t get taken serious enough from veteran staff or admin.

@ProfessorStacie I would like to be remembered as the “vacation” teacher. Making the school work fun and having a safe environment for the students is the top priority.
