Infosys hired 186/196 students from our college at 3.6 LPA. Interview was just introduce yourself, whether you like idli or dosa, or show us your Insta profile. College now celebrating it as a big achievement of student’s hard work 😂
This feeling on a Friday night when you’re done with your company work, have pushed your code, and are now relaxing, planning to learn new things over the weekend, and working on a side project.
Most people (including me) aren’t bad at frontend but they are just not patient enough to learn positioning. It feels trivial since LLMs can do it in minutes, so we skip it and never learn basic container manipulation and end up thinking we’re bad at frontend.
Lately I have been seeing a lot of posts where people share job offers that ask for their Monkeytype score. Are these real or just a new meme or trend?
Had a great Friday. Went to WeWork, pushed some changes, discussed the architecture for upcoming implementations, and ended the day with a weekly sync meeting with the founder and frontend engineer.
Went to WeWork on Monday, as it is a necessary task of my internship.
Can't understand how people manage to work in an office with so many people around and constant background noise. We really take WFH for granted.
It’s very beneficial to pass function arguments as objects rather than individual parameters. It saves you from silly mistakes like passing arguments in the wrong order and also helps avoid the boolean trap.
These types and the parsing functions that handle them make me doubt my skills.
It's really not easy to handle recursive functions with multiple types. It even gets harder when you need to work on someone else's code.
One thing I learned from my current employer is that if you want to get better at problem solving, first get better at observing details on your screen. Most problems can be solved just by paying close attention.
