Impossible to talk about this episode's animation without mentioning that Tatsuya Sato, the ace of the studio's Osaka branch, got to focus on it for a rather long amount of time. The results seem to be having animated... half the episode himself, by the looks of it? Kinda insane

As usual, those details are incorporated into the animation itself *at all times*, even in the most chill scenes. Love the way the question mark becomes fragmented when it bounces, and especially the steamy onomatopoeia melting into effects

This leads nicely to another gorgeous visual showcase: the ending scroll that serves as another piece of amusing Arawi mythology, embodying the simple wish behind this project. Just like CITY itself, the towers were built to collectively cheer people up
