One way to oversee the use of #AI : Routine auditing (e.g., queried with hypothetical cases) by outside experts. This is both good practice & may soon be a requirement. See New York City AI audit bill & the federal proposed #Algorithmic Accountability Act. #legislative landscape

#AI #oversight #frameworks : There are an increasing number of frameworks to guide efforts to identify and reduce harms from AI systems (e.g. BSA Framework, GAO Risk Framework, NIST’s forthcoming AI Risk Management Framework, EqualAI Framework).
